“And God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light.
God said. God spoke. And it happened.
God separated the light from the darkness. God called the “light” day, and the darkness he called “night”.
Thus, there was evening and there was morning – the first day.
OK, there’s light and darkness – and day and night – but the sun hasn’t been created yet. That didn’t happen until Day 4. What, then, caused the lightness and the darkness…the night and day?
Dare I say that God, himself, is what illuminated the earth in those first few days of creation?
2 Corinthians 4:6: For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
